We hold online recruitment events to help you understand the role of a police officer. We want to tell you how amazing it is as a career. Not only will you be helping to make Bedfordshire a safer place, you can also take advantage of the amazing training opportunities available to change you career path within policing.

Of course, policing has its challenges; you will be working shifts, you might not finish on time every day and you will miss some personal life special occasions.

These events will tell you more about the realities of policing, the good and the bad.

We really recommend attending one of the sessions so you can better understand what life as a police officer is like and what a career in policing might look like for you.

Special constable recruitment events

Want to join policing but can't commit to a full-time role? Special constables are volunteers with the same powers as full-time officers, supporting our frontline teams with tackling crime and protecting the public. 

These events will provide the opportunity to learn about the responsibilities and duties of a special constable, as well as the impact they have on our community. Current specials will be available to share their personal experiences and answer any questions you may have.
