When you join us as a police officer, we’ll make a wide range of benefits available to you
In the first year of the course officers will earn £28,551 which will increase to £29,751 in the second year. Once officers have completed the programme and are fully ranked officers the salary will increase to £30,957 with annual increments.
There is also a £1,500 yearly London living wage allowance on top of the above salaries.

You’ll start with 22 days annual leave rising to 30 days, dependent on your length of service. After your two year probation period you will be able to apply to join the various teams that make Bedfordshire Police.
