PCEP
The Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP) is a great opportunity for those who have not studied at degree level to be entered onto a two-year programme focused on police skills.
The assessment plan is not academic focused, although there are a range of assessments, and occupational competency is awarded at end of year two.
Our training teams understand that you may not yet know very much about policing. No assumptions are made, and each student officer is offered coaching to achieve the requirements in a very tailored way.
Classroom-based learning
- 20-week initial phase of learning
- four weeks further learning in year two
- developing your understanding about key topics such as leadership, inclusion, investigation skills and public protection
- Personal Safety training
- wide range of ICT systems training
Your knowledge and skills will be assessed throughout this period using a variety of techniques including exam, presentations, short essays and a full work-based occupational competency portfolio.
