Detectives have made four further arrests as part of their investigation into an incident in Little Billington which left three men with serious injuries.
Officers were called at around 2.20pm Wednesday (20 May) to reports of a serious disturbance outside a property on Gipsy Lane. Three men were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
One man in his 50s was arrested yesterday (Thursday) on suspicion to commit murder and remains in police custody for questioning.
Yesterday (Thursday) a man in his 20s and a 19-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of assisting offenders, where they remain in police custody for questioning.
Today (Friday) a woman in her 50s was also arrested on suspicion of assisting offenders and remains in police custody for questioning.
Last week four people – two men in their 50s, an 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman – were arrested last week on suspicion of the same offence, and have since been bailed with strict conditions while enquiries continue.
A fifth man in his 20s was arrested in Oxford on Saturday (23 May) on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder in connection with incident, and was bailed with strict conditions.
Detective Superintendent David Skarratts said: “We are continuing to pursue all lines of enquiry to establish the full circumstances of what happened in the lead up and during the incident.
“We are maintaining a visible police presence in the area to reassure the community, and would still like to hear from anyone who may have any information that could assist our enquiries.
“In particular, we’re encouraging anyone who was in the Slapton Road area between 1.45pm and 3.15pm, and who may have seen anything suspicious or have CCTV or dashcam footage, to contact us.
“We are also keen to identify any footage showing a black Volkswagen Golf, a white Citroen Berlingo, or a white Ford Transit in the area at that time.”
