Bedfordshire Police is appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Caddington last week (Thursday 19 March).
Officers were called to reports of a collision in Dunstable Road involving a black Toyota Yaris and a silver Yamaha R1M shortly before 6.30pm.
Emergency services attended but the motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead shortly after.
The driver of the Toyota, a man in his 40s, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
Detective Constable Felicity Walker, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “First and foremost our thoughts are with the family of the man who died at this sad time.
“We are asking for anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dash cam footage to get in touch as any information may be able to assist our enquiries into the circumstances around this tragic collision.”
