On Monday (1 June) at 4pm, a man was approached on Stuart Street by two men who assaulted him, leaving him with serious, but not life changing injuries.
The men were described as being in their 40s and white.
Police Constable Grey, investigating, said: “This assault was carried out in a busy area in daylight.
“I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time, saw what happened, or noticed a large group of males acting suspiciously, to contact police so we can fully investigate the circumstances and locate those responsible.”
