Officers investigating a fatal collision on the southbound carriageway of the M1 in the early hours of yesterday (Sunday) are appealing for information.
Police were called shortly after 2.40am to a single-vehicle collision on the M1 southbound between junctions 14 and 13.
Emergency services attended but two men in their 30s were pronounced dead at the scene.
Detective Sergeant Ben Heath from Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the families of the two men who lost their lives in this tragic incident.
“This was a very serious incident, and we would urge anyone who may have seen this vehicle prior to the collision, or who has dashcam footage that could help us establish the full circumstances, to get in touch.”
Anyone with information or footage is asked to report online at beds.police.uk/ro/report or call 101, quoting Operation Vermont.
