Detectives investigating an incident which left a man with life-threatening injuries are appealing for information.
Police were called at around 8.50pm yesterday (Monday) to reports of a single-vehicle collision in Beadlow Road, Luton.
On arrival, officers found the driver with significant injuries, believed to have been sustained prior to the collision.
The man in his 60s was taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
Detective Inspector Stephanie Garfitt, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are pursuing multiple lines of enquiry to establish the circumstances that led to these injuries and appealing to anyone with information, particularly to help us identify where and how the injuries were inflicted.
“We would also like to hear from anyone who witnessed a grey Vauxhall Astra in the area around the time of the incident, or who may have CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage of the vehicle travelling.
“Any information, no matter how small it may seem, could be crucial in helping us fully understand what happened.”
