Police investigating an incident which is believed to have resulted from road rage are appealing for witnesses.
The incident took place at around 9.50pm on Thursday (22 January) in Russell Street, Luton, when an altercation broke out after a driving disagreement.
During the incident, a man forcibly attempted to steal another’s phone after he had taken photos of him relating to the dispute. Threatening comments were also made.
Three of the men are described as Asian, between the ages of 20 and 30; one was wearing a grey tracksuit, and the others were wearing dark clothing. They were in a grey Seat Leon.
Investigation Officer Amy Taylor from Bedfordshire Police said: “Road rage is not acceptable and incidents which take place on the road are no justification for the threat of violence.
“We are investigating the offence as an attempted robbery of the victim’s phone and are keen to locate the people responsible.
“We believe there were numerous witnesses beeping in other cars at the time of the incident who may have dashcam footage which could assist us.”
