Police investigating the cause of an explosion at a house in Cleat Hill, Bedford, last year are appealing for anyone who worked on the building site in the grounds of the property to get in touch.
On Saturday 19 October 2024, emergency services were called just after 7.30am to reports of a house on fire in Cleat Hill. The incident followed a major gas leak which occurred in July 2024, during work to install a ground source heat pump.
An investigation was launched and as part of their enquiries, officers are keen to speak with anyone who worked on the building site of the bungalow under construction to the rear of the affected property between July and October last year.
Detective Inspector James Day from Bedfordshire Police said: “If you were a worker on the building site and we haven’t already spoken to you, or know of anyone who was working there, please get in touch with us. You may have information that could assist our investigation.”
To contact the investigation team please contact Bedfordshire Police on 101 or online quoting Operation Quickdraw.
