An arrest has been made in connection with a fire in Luton yesterday evening (Friday).
Officers were called just after 8.40pm by the Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service to a report of a fire at Royal Navy Court in Crawley Green Road, Luton.
Residents were evacuated from their homes for a short time whilst the fire dealt with.
One man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of criminal damage by arson and is currently in police custody for questioning.
Detective Sergeant Tom Hamm said: “We are currently investigating all lines of enquiry but would like to reassure local residents that we are treating this as a targeted arson but would ask that anyone with information to let us know.”
