A man has been charged with rape and fraud by false representation by Bedfordshire Police’s Rape and Sexual Offences Team (RASSO).
Saikou Jabang, 42, of Dumfries Street, Luton was charged yesterday (10 October) with both offences.
The rape charge is in connection with an incident which took place in the early hours of 11 August in John Street, Luton.
He also received a charge of fraud by false representation.
The first hearing took place at Luton Magistrates Court today (Friday), where he was remanded, and he is due to appear at Luton Crown Court on 11 November.
