Two men and a woman have been arrested in connection with a number of armed robberies targeting businesses across the county.
Police were called at 3pm yesterday (Friday) to Ladbrokes in the Sundon Park Parade, Luton, following reports of a men threatening staff with a firearm and demanding money.
In the early hours of this morning (Saturday), officers were called to two more reports of similar offences in Bedford at the Verve Hotel and McDonald’s in Goldington Road.
A further report was received at 5.12pm today, following a fourth incident at the Co-Op in Westfield Road, Dunstable.
Shortly before 6pm, officers located a vehicle in Luton believed to be linked to the incidents.
Following a search of the area, one man in his 40s, another man in his 30s and a woman, also in her 30s, were arrested on suspicion of robbery.
They remain in police custody for questioning.
