We are appealing for witnesses after a man was left with serious injuries, following a collision on the A6 between Streatley and Barton-Le-clay on Saturday (6 April).
Shortly before 11am, emergency services were called to reports of a collision involving a cyclist in Luton Road, A6, a short distance from the Barton-Le-Clay slip road.
The cyclist, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital and sadly passed away yesterday (Monday).
As part of the investigation the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Serious Collisions Unit has reviewed the circumstances, and the incident is now being treated as a single vehicle collision.
Another man in his 60s was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and being over the prescribed limit. He has since been released with no further action in relation to this incident.
Sergeant James Carmichael from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Roads Policing Unit said: “We are urging anyone who witnessed this incident or the events leading up to it to please get in touch.
”We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have been travelling in the area at the time of the incident and captured any footage on a dashcam.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact police Online or by calling 101 quoting Operation Dacron.
