Police are appealing for information after receiving a report of an attempted robbery in Dunstable last week.
At around 2pm on Friday (24 November), a delivery driver was in his van in Carterweys when he was approached by two men with knives, who forced him to open the back of his van so they could access the parcels.
Fortunately, they left empty-handed, but they did cause damage to the back of the van.
The suspects are described as two black men wearing black masks; one was around 5’4’’ and the other was around 5’9’’. They left in a dark-coloured BMW.
Detective Constable Olivia Scarlata from Bedfordshire Police’s Crime Investigation Department, said: “This was a blatant attempt to rob a delivery driver in broad daylight and we are urging anyone who saw the incident to get in touch as this would really help with our enquiries.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact police either online, or by calling 101 quoting reference 40/63899/23.
