We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision involving a motorbike and a car in Dunstable on Monday (4 September).
Emergency services arrived at the scene in High Street South at around 10.30am in response to reports of a collision between a black Yamaha motorbike and a yellow MINI.
The rider of the motorbike, a teenage boy, sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
The driver of the MINI received minor injuries.
Sergeant Rebecca Cornell from Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire’s Road Policing Unit said: “We are working to gather as much evidence as possible to establish the events leading up to this incident.
“The driver of the car is fully cooperating with our investigation, and we are appealing to anyone else with information who hasn’t already spoken to us to get in touch.
“We are especially interested in hearing from individuals who witnessed the collision, saw the vehicles just beforehand, or have CCTV or dashcam footage.”
Anyone with information or footage is asked to contact police on 101 or report online quoting Operation Hardcastle.
