Appeal for information following Bedford collision

Officers are appealing for information after a collision in Bedford left a pedestrian with serious injuries.

At around 2.15pm on Monday (31 October) police were called to a report of a collision between a blue Audi and a pedestrian on Clapham Road close to the junction with Linden Road.

The pedestrian – a woman in her 80s – was taken to hospital with serious injuries where she currently remains.

T/Detective Sergeant Craig Wheeler from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Serious Collisions Unit, said: “We are trying to establish the circumstances around what caused this collision and so are appealing to anyone who witnessed it to contact us as soon as possible.
