Request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 Ref No: FOI2025/01914
I am writing to you requesting information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Could you please provide me with the following information:
If there are any police stations that have closed down in your area in the past five years and if so how many?
I am required by the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (The Act) to handle all requests in a manner that is blind to the identity of the requestor. Any information released in response to a request is regarded as being published and therefore, in the public domain without caveat.
Following your request, searches were conducted at Bedfordshire Police for information relating to the number of police stations that have closed down in your area in the past five years
These searches failed to locate any records relevant to your request because the Force has not closed any police stations in the past 5 years. We have closed 4 police bases that were not open to the public and subsequently relocated these to 4 new premises.
Accordingly I have determined that Bedfordshire Police do not hold the information you have requested.
