Incidents Involving Crossbows

I write in connection with your request for information received on 30th April.  I note you seek access to the following information:

We would like to submit the following questions under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Please provide information for the following for the years: 2022, 2023 and 2024.

1. How many incidents did you attend which involved a person possessing a crossbow?

2. How many people under the age of 18 were found to be in possession of a crossbow?

3. Of the overall number of incidents, how many involved a fatality?

4. How many crossbows did you seize per year?

I am required by the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (The Act) to handle all requests in a manner that is blind to the identity of the requestor. Any information released in response to a request is regarded as being published and therefore, in the public domain without caveat.

*The above data relates to incidents where an opening category is recorded as an Offensive Weapons, attended by the police, where a word 'Crossbow' is recorded in the incident log.
